Get the challah outta here!

The challah is seeing its final days. Since the first day Doug baked this bread we have been anticipating today, its day to shine as French toast.

I adapted the recipe from Ina Garten to get a general idea of the egg mixture I needed to make. Then, the plan was to caramelize some bananas to drizzle over the toasts.

I think it came out pretty good.

The bananas were alright. I tried to cut down on the butter, but that just turned into a mess of grainy sugar. So I just let it be what it was and barely cooked the bananas in the sauce.

Not a bad way to start off the four day weekend.
