The big bake off

This past Sunday was the big day. No, Doug and I didn’t elope– we had our first bake sale at the Tattersall Farm Day!

The day started off slowly, but progressively people came around to our table and sampled our goods.

We had three different breads: Cuban, challah, and bagels
three quick breads: zucchini, pumpkin, and banana nut
several cookies: gingerbread chocolate chip, apple white chocolate chunk, snickerdoodles, monster cookies, peanut butter, and brown sugar and spice
There was also pizza dough, but nobody was into that.

One of my favorite parts about this day was talking to people about our mission. Our goal is to serve simple, delicious foods that aren’t processed. So many people had stories about their mom or grandma making breads, about their own recipes, and how much it means to them to have fresh food. These stories, and making people happy is why we bake.

Our table.

The information board I made at 10pm the night before.

Fresh pizza dough in there!

My mom made these pumpkins and sold three. Way to go Mom!

Here we are posing for the paparazzi.
